Chronic pancreatitis is characterized by progressive, unrelenting pancreatic inflammation, which can eventually lead to loss of pancreatic function. The prevalence of chronic pancreatitis is increasing, and unfortunately, there is no cure. Treatment involves input from the interdisciplinary team, including dietitians. In this webinar, we take a deep dive into better understanding the pathophysiology, treatment, and nutrition implications of chronic pancreatitis. Led by GI expert dietitian, Emily Manez, MS, RD, CNSC, this webinar will discuss the nutrition implications of loss of endocrine and exocrine pancreatic functions as well as how to screen and treat malnutrition in this patient population.
