Good introduction and great for beginners
Total parenteral nutrition is one of the most customizable and specialized, yet, high-risk and intimidating nutrition therapies of them all. It’s a great option to have available when patients really need it, but many dietitians don’t feel comfortable managing TPN. Those days are over!
Join nutrition support superstar, Sara Glanz, MS, RD, LD, CNSC, as she guides you through TPN 101, your one-stop-shop for understanding the ins and outs of IV nutrition. We’ll talk about indications for TPN, types of IV access, macronutrient calculations, premixed versus custom solutions, lab monitoring, and much more. So next time you receive a consult for TPN management, you’ll be cool, calm, and confident.

Good introduction and great for beginners
I've been looking for a simple, concise and clear CEU about the basics of TPN for years! thank you for creating this. I have not calculated a TPN since my internship and this is exactly what I needed to know. I hope there are many more that coincide with this topic and progressively increase knowledge on this topic.
Great for new RDs and any one interested in learning TPN.
I'm always looking to for tools to help improve my knowledge on TPN and this is perfect. Provides the basics needed for establishing good fundamentals in TPN.
This was a good review of how to calculate the calories from TPN. I have not worked with TPN for many years and found this helpful to relearn essential information.
