Preventing Food Allergies in Pediatrics | 1 CPEU
Who is at risk for developing food allergies in the pediatric population? Kiddos who have a parent, sibling, or first-degree relative with a food allergy are more likely to develop a food allergy as well. Previous recommendations for avoiding potentially allergenic foods during pregnancy, breastfeeding, and early childhood were not supported by clinical research. We now believe that early exposure of potentially allergenic foods can actually decrease the risk of developing food allergies. Join Courtney Lee, MS, RDN, CLT, CFCS for an update on pediatric food allergies.
