Who is at risk for developing food allergies in the pediatric population? Kiddos who have a parent, sibling, or first-degree relative with a food allergy are more likely to develop a food allergy as well. Previous recommendations for avoiding potentially allergenic foods during pregnancy, breastfeeding, and early childhood were not supported by clinical research.
