Nutritional Genomics Case Study | 1 CPEU

$0.00

Nutritional genomics (NGx) is the interpretation of a genetic profile resulting in a therapeutic, individualized nutrition prescription to provide a personalized nutrition approach and more effectively manage or prevent disease. Genetic testing brings NGx into patient care even as the science is still emerging. Each facet of NGx has different potential applications for patient care. Currently, implementation of NGx is considered advanced practice, and no standard training or certificate exists from CDR to attain competency in this area. This means dietitians who want to learn and implement NGx must educate themselves on genetics and NGx independently so they can understand and explain NGx implications in patient care. Read our primer on NGx and apply your knowledge with two practice case studies.
